Day 2   Rejoin the aircraft and continue on our trip over William Creek and Lake Eyre North.  The Lake was about 75% full but was dropping from a max of 85% for the year.    The flight took us over Warbuton Grove where the northern floorwaters enter Lake Eyre North, then followed Warberton Creek to Goyder Lagoon.  The views over the Lagoon are most stunning!    Also in this part of the trip the sand dunes of the Simpson Desert were observed.  Leaving Coober Pedy

Landed at Birdsville for lunch at the historic Birdsville Hotel.  Also spend time at the Working Museum, its second last day before closing, as the owner (John) was moving because of health reasons.  From Birdsville we return to Brisbane after a very enjoyable two day in the outback.
